The weather forecast has insisted, for days now, that we would recive heavy snow here in the Midlands.
And at last it is here! I am very lucky, as a teacher, because I know that I live close to school and if I had to get in to work, I could do the walk. I also know, that when the snow is heavy (like it is now – 4 hours on from the above picture) the school will be closed and I won’t have to take the risk.
Other people (non-teachers) always like to moan about this fact. But, they’re all missing a fundamental point… isn’t it a wonderful thing to allow children to have fun in the snow? To just be children?… Surely that’s what really matters.
